RuneScape Halloween Event '09

I sooo happy I've completed the 2009 RS H'ween event, as I missed last year's. This year, players have to visit the Grim Reaper's Mansion via a portal South-West of Falador.

The Grim Reaper needs help with a stubborn spider - a giant one in fact. The spider is sitting in his bathtub, and won't move until the Spider Queen orders her to (she was the reason he was here in the first place). So, off I go to meet the Spider Queen and ask her the reason she put the spider in the bathtub. Apparently, the Grim Reaper had removed all the cobwebs in his house, thus insulting the Spider Queen. She then gives me Eek the Spider, to re-cobweb the Grim Reaper's house. After cobwebbing - 64 items - the house, you return to the Spider Queen, she removes the spider, and you recieve your reward: Eek, A spider-web cloak.

Lvl 51 Fishing

Yesterday I got my first skill to 50 - Fishing. But I didn't stop fishing lobsters because I wanted to get 1300 lobsters and sell them on GE for around 500k. Today I got my fishing to 51 and have 260 lobsters in the bank. After achieving this, I'll try to do the only non-members quest i haven't completed - The Dragon Slayer.

Stat Update 20/09/09

Freaky Forester

It's been a while since the last time I played RuneScape. So, I didn't really have anything specific that I wanted to do or achieve. I then decided to level 2 of my long-forgotten skills - WCing and FMing. They are 30 and 31 respectively. Later, I decided to continue my mission of getting 700 steel bars to smith. As I was doing so, the Freaky Forester came and took me to a forest. This is a first for me, and there, I was told to kill a 2-tailed pheasant. The task was completed quickly and I was given a Random Event Gift (that was its name I think). I chose the "Save up for a costume", and continued to mine coal and iron ores.

Smithing Steel

I've finished selling all my coal at the GE for 7k today. Also, I've decided to train my Smithing level to 50 (currently 38). I'll mine 280 iron ores for every 140 coal that I mine. I'll smelt those into 140 steel bars, which I will store in the bank and repeat this 4 more times. Once that is done, I should have 700 steel bars, which I'll smith into the best object possible with my level. The good thing about this is that it'll help me to make moneyand also train my Mining lvl.

Stat Update <10-06-2009>

Grand Exchange & Updates

I sold a lot of stuff today at the Grand Exchage. Here they are:

Also, at the GE I saw 2 players, one wearing a Blue Partyhat (the most expensive one at 307.2 mil) and the other wearing a Green Halloween Mask (the cheapest one at 11 mil). Here's the picture:

As I continued playing, I noticed some small updates (Either I haven't noticed them or they've just been updated). The Health Bar and the Spells window have been changed, and it's a good change.

There was another update, and one I really like. Jagex have put some Musicians around RuneScape. If you listen to any of the Musicians, your Run Energy will regenerate faster and your HitPoints will heal 3x faster than normal speed. You can also rest without listening to the Musician, but your Run Energy won't regenerate as fast and your HP will only heal twice as fast.

Prison Pete

I continued to train my Smithing lvl and got it up to 38. I finished smithing 10 sets of iron armour (as planned yesterday) and sold all of them for around 8k. As I continued to smith the rest into Iron Platebodies, Evil Bob teleported me to ScapeRune. There, I met Prison Pete, who told me to pull the lever, pop the correct animal balloon, get the key, give it to him, repeat until all the locks have been unlocked. I did all that, escaped, and Prison Pete gave me a Gift Box. A window came up and I had to choose one of the rewards. I chose the Mystery Box. Inside was a cut Diamond, which I stored in the bank.

Smithing lvl 36

Today I got my Smithing lvl up to 36 as I finished smelting all the iron ores in my bank. I then started to smith them. I decided to smith 10 iron armour set (5 platelegs, 5 plateskirts) and the rest of the iron bars into as many iron platebodies as possible.

Smelting Iron Ores

As I was mining coal, I realised I had 771 iron ores in my bank. So, I ran to the bank, stored my Addy pickaxe, 12 coals and an uncut sapphire. I after I've cut the sapphire, I took a full batch of iron ores and went to the furnace and smelted them. Here are the results:

Batch 1 = 16 iron bars
Batch 2 = 11
Batch 3 = 15
Batch 4 = 10
Batch 5 = 13
Batch 6 = 15

Total = 80 iron bars /168 attempted

Mining coal

I went to mine at the Dwarven Mines in Falador today to train my Mining and Smithing level. I've decided to mine coal and iron ores to make steel bars until my Mining level is 50 and Smithing 45. I've found that I can mine 28 coal in 20 minutes and about 3 batches of iron ore in the same amount of time.

Easter Event 2009 Pics

Easter Event 2009

RuneScape Easter Event 2009: Splitting Heirs

To start the event, speak to the Easter Bunny North of Rimmington. This year, the EB has a problem - his factory is in a mess. Once you are in the rabbit hole, find the factory and speak to his lazy son, Easter Bunny Jr. He will tell you to go in his dad's office and read the to-do list.. There are 4 things that need to be done to get the factory up and running: Feed the Easter Bird, round-up the implings, fix the incubator and retrain the squirrels.

Jumping Cabbages

Today, as I was walking by the cabbage farm south of Falador, I saw the last thing you would expect to see in RuneScape (or anyplace for that matter): Jumping cabbages. And that's not all. When you kick, tap or try to pick them, they talk as well. Thinking they were special, I tried to pick one. I couldn't. I asked someone nearby how'd he got his cabbage he was wielding. He brought me to a cabbage that was no different to the others - except that instead of having a tap/kick or pick option, it had a catch option. This time, I got the cabbage. I tried eating one of but the same quote appeared - You eat the cabbage. Yuck!. There doesn't seem to be anything special about them, but I'm keeping 3 in my bank just in case...
